1892 Paramount Eiffel Vintage Telephone - Project Breakdown

This is a project breakdown for a vintage telephone game prop project in the span of 4 weeks to create. The process to create this asset consisted of creating a high-resolution model in Maya. Then, I created a game resolution model where the high-resolution normal details were baked using Substance 3D Painter. The textures were also completely done using Substance 3D Painter and exported at a 4K resolution. While the telephone was made using references from a modern replica, I wanted the textures to show wear and tear and story details that reflect elements from the 1890s, working as a mixture of modern and classic in one model.

Game-ready asset with baked normal details and textures implemented. The model has two texture sets. One for the telephone and the other for the note and table with opacity.

Presentation shot of the game version with the high-resolution normal and ambient occlusion maps. Also showcasing areas that will be a big focus once the textures are in place. There are areas where it did not bake properly and I will try to improve them
