Time Magician Charles

Overwatch-style game model based on Jin Yi's amazing concept art. This project took me 4 weeks to complete and it served as a great culmination of everything that I have learned about character modeling this past year. I am proud of my progress so far, and I am eager to keep learning and improving my skills.

I started by creating the high res character in Zbrush. I then retopologized it in Maya, where I also created the base model for the staff, which I later took to Zbrush to make the high res details. I rigged the character using Advanced Skeleton 5 in Maya. and then textured the models using Substance 3D Painter. I finally implemented the posed model into Unreal Engine 5. This was my first time working in Unreal Engine 5 and the lighting process felt very liberating allowing me to get great-looking real-time renders.
